Awareness Session on POCSO Act for Teachers

An awareness session on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was conducted for the teaching staff to enhance their understanding of child safety and protection. The session focused on the key provisions of the Act, the roles and responsibilities of educators, and the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment for students.

The resource person MS. PRIYA G. ARUN PRASAD, Counselling Psychologist co- founder & Director “THE MIND AND COMPANY”, explained the procedures for identifying, reporting, and responding to cases of child abuse while emphasizing the legal and ethical obligations of school personnel. Interactive discussions and case-based examples helped teachers gain practical insights into safeguarding children and promoting their well-being.
