Pongal Celebration

SBOA Matriculation & Higher Secondary School celebrated Pongal 2026 with much joy and cultural pride on campus.

Dr. Nithish Andrea Raja Singh, President of the SBIOA Educational Trust and the Correspondent of the school, presided over the event and delivered the presidential address.

Mr. A. Senthil Ramesh, Secretary and Correspondent, SBIOA Educational Trust graced the celebration along with the Treasurer, Mr. S. Prakash.

The chief guest, Mrs. S. Manamalli, Deputy Director, Agricultural Marketing and the guests of honour Mrs. Sadhana, Co-founder, Uzhavar Bhoomi and Mrs. Archana Stalin, Founder, My Harvest Farms addressed the students on the value of farming, the role of farmers, food purity, and the importance of women farmers.

Students welcomed the dignitaries and presented thematic speeches. Principal Mrs. Sunila Cherian, Vice Principal, Headmistress, Assistant Headmistress, teachers and students participated enthusiastically.

Traditional events such as Uriyadi, Silambam, Rangoli and Slow Cycling contests were held, and winners were awarded prizes. A demonstration of how drones are used for irrigation purposes added more sense to the event.

The harvest spirit filled the campus, and the celebration ended with everyone exchanging warm Pongal greetings.
